North Wales based detection dog company, Wagtail UK Ltd, are delighted to announce they are now an Approved Learning Provider under the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) Scheme, helping to promote life-long learning for members of the armed forces.
Wagtail UK are leading international specialists in detection dogs and dog handler training. From their headquarters in Flintshire, North Wales, Wagtail UK provides detection dogs and related services for government agencies such as UK Border Force, HM Revenue & Customs, Police, Trading Standards and Armed Forces.
The recent accreditation as an Approved Learning Provider under the MOD’s ELC Scheme has been a pivotal moment for Wagtail UK. The MOD created the ELC to promote learning amongst members of the armed forces. The scheme provides financial support for training courses, which are delivered through approved providers such as Wagtail UK Ltd. Details of courses can be found on the website here.

Wagtail UK will be providing Explosives Detection Dog Handler courses and Dual Purpose Drug Detection Dog Handler courses which will be available through the ELC Scheme. Courses will be held at Wagtail UK’s Training School in North Wales.
